PartyFix is an Android application and website (partyfix.eu), developed and maintained by an individual developer. For questions, contact us at partyfix@proton.me.

PartyFix is built with privacy in mind. We only collect the data necessary to make the app and website work. Some data is stored locally on your device or in your browser; account data is securely stored via Firebase (Google).

Account data (stored on Firebase):

  • Email address: Used for signing in, password recovery and account management (app and website).
  • Screen name: Your chosen name, visible in circles, friends and chat.
  • Favourite events and artists: Stored so your selection is available across devices and in the browser.
  • Set alerts and personal schedule: So your configured alerts and schedule are not lost when reinstalling or switching browsers.
  • Theme colour: Your chosen accent colour, synced between app and website.
  • Circles and friendships: Circle membership, invitations and friends list.
  • Circle chat: Messages, polls and location sharing within circles you join.
  • Encrypted inbox: Private messages between users. Content is end-to-end encrypted; only you and the recipient can read messages. A public key is stored on Firebase; the matching private key stays on your device or in your browser.
  • Saved locations and checklist: Linked to your account for recovery when switching devices (app).

Local data (app — on your device only):

  • Photos of saved locations: Stored in the app's secure local storage.
  • App settings: Language and other personal preferences.
  • Cached event data: Temporarily stored so the app works offline.

Local data (website — in your browser):

  • Favourites, set alerts and theme colour: Temporarily stored in browser localStorage until you sign in; then synced to Firebase.
  • Inbox keys: Your private key for encrypted messages is stored locally in the browser. You can optionally download a recovery code to restore your key on another device.
  • Notification status: Which set alerts have already triggered a browser notification, to avoid duplicates.

We do not sell data and do not use tracking or advertising networks.

PartyFix uses the following Firebase services (Google LLC):

  • Firebase Authentication: Manages sign-in via email/password or Google (app and website). Your email address and screen name are securely stored by Firebase.
  • Firebase Firestore: Event data (name, date, location, lineup) and account-linked user data (favourites, alerts, circles, chat, inbox) are stored in our secured database.
  • Firebase Cloud Functions: Delivers filtered event data to the app and website. No personal data is sent to external parties through these functions.
  • Firebase Hosting: The website at partyfix.eu is hosted via Firebase Hosting (Google).
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging: Android app only, for delivering set reminders. Firebase receives an anonymous device token generated by the Android system.
  • Firebase Storage: Festival and event images. No personal data is transmitted.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Android app only. Automatically collects crash reports when the app crashes unexpectedly. If you are signed in, your account ID is included in the report so we can identify recurring crashes for specific accounts. Your name, email address or other personal data are not transmitted.

Website — browser notifications: On partyfix.eu you can receive set reminders via browser notifications. We ask for permission in your browser. Notifications are scheduled locally via a service worker; no additional tracking or advertising services are used.

All other optional Firebase analytics are disabled. More information: policies.google.com/privacy

The app and website connect to the following sources to load content:

  • Firebase (Google): Event data is fetched from our own Firebase environment. We sync this data daily from DJGuide and Ticketmaster. The app and website do not connect directly to DJGuide or Ticketmaster — this happens via our own servers.
  • partyfix.eu: The website loads the web app and related files (JavaScript, CSS, service worker) from Firebase Hosting. When you sign in, the site connects directly to Firebase Authentication and Firestore.
  • Open-Meteo: Weather forecasts for events use the coordinates (latitude and longitude) of the event venue. These are festival locations, not personal location data.
  • Last.fm / MusicBrainz: Used to automatically determine artist genres based on their name. No personal data is transmitted.
  • Wikipedia: When an event has no description, a summary is automatically fetched based on the event name.
  • Spotify: Only when you actively use the button to search for an artist.
  • Tidal: Only when you actively use the button to search for an artist. Optionally, you can link your Tidal account to automatically import your favourite artists into PartyFix. Only artist names are imported; your listening history, playlists or other account data are not stored or shared.

Some ticket links in PartyFix (app and website) are affiliate links. If you purchase a ticket through such a link, we may receive a small commission. This does not cost you anything extra and supports PartyFix.

To enable features, we request the following permissions:

Android app:

  • Location (Precise Location): Required to determine your current position relative to your saved spots (Finder), calculate distances and make the compass work.
  • Camera: Used when you want to add a photo to a saved location in the Finder.
  • Internet access: To load the festival feed and images.
  • Notifications: To send you reminders for performances in your personal schedule.
  • Microphone: Used by the dB meter to measure the sound level around you and warn you if the volume may be harmful to your hearing.

Website (partyfix.eu):

  • Browser notifications: Only when you set alerts and grant permission in your browser. You can revoke this later in your browser settings.
  • Internet access: To load events, sign in and use circles/chat.
  • Local storage (localStorage): For preferences, inbox keys and temporary data in your browser. No cookies for tracking or advertising.

PartyFix never shares data with third parties. The share button lets you share certain data yourself via your own apps (such as WhatsApp or Signal). In circles and the encrypted inbox you choose who you communicate with; inbox messages cannot be read by third parties (including PartyFix).

PartyFix is intended for users aged 18 and over.

You have full control over your data in PartyFix.

  • Individual data: Saved locations can be deleted via the Finder screen (app). Favourite artists, events and set alerts are managed in the app or on the website.
  • Local data (app): Via Android Settings → Apps → PartyFix → Storage you can clear all locally stored data and cache.
  • Local data (website): Via your browser settings you can clear site data and localStorage for partyfix.eu. You will be signed out and local preferences are lost; signed-in cloud data remains until you delete your account.
  • Account and cloud data (app): Via More → Account → Delete account you can permanently and immediately delete your account and all associated data (screen name, favourites, alerts, circles, chat messages, inbox, location). This cannot be undone.
  • Delete account (website): See partyfix.eu/delete-account-en, or send a request to partyfix@proton.me from the email address linked to your account.

If you are unable to do this via the app, send a request to partyfix@proton.me.

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy. The most recent version is always available on this page. For minor, non-material changes — such as clarifications or the addition of a new feature — users will not be actively notified. For significant changes that materially affect how your data is processed, we will notify you via the app or website.
